David Malina is Vice President and Head of Talent, Australia at IMG, a global leader in talent representation, sports, events, fashion and media operating in more than 30 countries around the world. In this role, he oversees a team of experts responsible for maximizing opportunities for clients across all facets of their business activities, while maintaining a very personalized management service.
Malina has played an integral role in expanding representation opportunities for IMG talent around the globe. Under his leadership, IMG’s Australia outpost became the first IMG office worldwide to manage digital talent and now represents leading digital personalities and creatives, including Margaret Zhang, Sarah Ellen and Primitive Technology. Malina also oversaw the launch of IMG Engage, an invite-only influencer platform and digital talent media agency with over 27 million followers providing strategic consultation and implementing campaigns.
Malina joined IMG in 2005 as a Talent Manager, and grew to serve as Director of Talent, managing leading entertainment and sports personalities including Catherine Freeman, Rachael Finch and Tom Williams. Prior to joining IMG, Malina served as both Partner and Chief of Operations at IMS Sports, which he co-founded in the U.S in 1994.
