Stuart Cunningham is Distinguished Professor of Media and Communication, Queensland University of Technology. With his collaborator David Craig (who spent three decades as a Hollywood producer and network executive), he has researched the global phenomenon of online creator careers in what they call the new industry of ‘social media entertainment’. Their book Social Media Entertainment: The new intersection of Hollywood and Silicon Valley will be published soon by New York University Press. He has served as Foundation Chair of the Queensland screen resource centre QPIX, as a commissioner of the Australian Film Commission and a director of Screen Queensland.
