Audience Driven Content: Should They REALLY Own the Story?

As we enter an era where it’s possible for scripted drama to be guided by fan feedback, when will all the creative decisions about big programming be placed into the hands of the viewer? Will the great screenwriters of tomorrow’s hits (OA Sex Education / What If) be at the mercy of the audience and how can this reality be a tool for good? Or will this ‘fandom’ be the death of quality content? And if this reality were to eventuate, who actually owns the copyright?
